Dedicated Workforce Notch Up 565 Years' Combined Service
Doulton Water celebrated more than 500 years of combined service from its loyal employees. Doulton handed out long service awards to 31 staff members, who had all completed more than 10 years' service. Of those honoured, 10 have been with the company for 20 years or more. Certificates marked 10-15 years' service, 15-20 years and 20 plus years, with the total number of years worked by all those honoured reaching 565.7 years. Originally part of Royal Doulton, Doulton has been based in Staffordshire since the 1800s, moving to its current headquarters at Lymedale Cross Industrial Estate, in Milehouse Lane, Newcastle under Lyme, in 2003. At the site, water filters, made from natural ceramic, are designed, manufactured and tested by the dedicated team. These are then sold around the world.
